Call For Artists

Kris Fontes is an experienced art educator known for her contributions to art education through various innovative projects and articles. She has been actively involved in teaching digital storytelling, creative imaging, and pop culture-related art projects to middle and high school students with published articles in SchoolArts: The Art Education Magazine for Teachers, where she shares detailed lessons and activities. Her work emphasizes hands-on, creative approaches to art education, inspiring educators, students and artists alike.

She developed a summer Lego animation camp with students learning the entire animation process from story development to set building, and filming using Lego bricks and the Stop Motion Studio Pro app. Fontes emphasizes hands-on learning/experimenting as an educator and approaches her personal mixed work with the same sense of exploration.   

She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, and a leader who has held numerous positions on the board of directors, including serving as president from 2010-2012.
